All our quotes include a set-up fee appropriate for the job at hand, billed at $65 per hour. A typical digital print quote would include 1 hour of set-up time; a more complex job might include 2 hours of set-up; a particularly straightforward job would include only ½ hour of set-up time.
Our set-up fee covers the time required to initiate the job, open the file you’ve supplied; to check the file for compatibility and output resolution at full size (if a digital print); and to “rip” or prepare the file for the machines that will produce your work.
Our price quote, including the set-up fee, typically covers the work required to set-up the job and send it to production. If, however, during set-up, it becomes apparent that there is a problem with the file and more work or more information is needed in order for us to complete the set-up of the job, then we will immediately contact you to let you know that additional time is required, we’ll quote you the anticipated additional charge, and obtain your approval before we proceed.
Additional set-up time, if required, is billed at $65.00 per hour.
