The standard turn-around time at Graphitek runs anywhere from 3 to 7 business days depending on our workload when you place your order, the complexity of your order, and the quantity of your order, with jobs typically produced in (roughly) the order they are received.
Many of our jobs, such as cut vinyl letters of a certain font from a standard vinyl color, are routine enough that no proof is required. Many digital print jobs are likewise completed without a proof, either because color matching or print resolution is not an issue, or we’ve produced the job in the past, so color matching has already been achieved.
HOWEVER!…
If you have concerns about color matching, print resolution or other aspects of the job then it is your responsibility to request a proof before we produce the entire job. A proof is a full-size sample print of a small portion of the larger job. The area selected for the proof print typically includes colors that need to be matched or other critical sections of the job. Your requesting a proof allows you to be certain that you will get what you expect, before we run the entire job.
If you required a pre-production proof then you MUST let us know when placing your order. There is a standard charge of $75.00 for each round of proofs, this charge being in addition to the quoted price for the job, plus shipping fees to send you the proof.
Note that each round of proofs typically adds 2-to-3 days to our production schedule, as we cannot start the job until you’ve received, reviewed and approved the proof.
We will not be responsible for incorrect color matches, color matches that you deem unsatisfactory or unsatisfactory print resolution if you do not request a pre-production proof (see
PROOFS, PROOF READING AND ERRORS
DISCLAIMER). If any of the above is critical to your project then we urge you to request a proof!
